I don't think so.
However, tried again with an ssh -v.
Noticed over a couple of runs that every time
when I got that error, the list of authentication
agent connections whould list an FD of 64 or
higher.
Right now, I'm on a different windows 2000 machine
which is of a different version. This one has
uname -a
CYGWIN_NT-5.0 TERJENM 1.1.4(0.26/3/2) 2000-08-03 20:53 i686 unknown
ssh -v
SSH Version OpenSSH_2.2.0p1, protocol versions 1.5/2.0.
It doesn't say anything about select when the
connection drops, but you will find:
