I want to change my password.

In /etc/passwd yet :

petreolles AT FR8040FHGZC449 ~
$ cat /etc/passwd
root::0:0::/bin/bash
petreolles::500:500::/bin/bash
petreolles AT FR8040FHGZC449 ~
$ passwd
passwd: unknown user petreolles
