Or their Desktop!  Or C:\!  (Yeah, you can code around this, but are
you sure there aren't *any* bugs?)

Can't we just add a dialogue to remind the user that the *.tar.gz
files remain?  Then they can decide whether to leave or remove it.

It's a fair point that setup shouldn't "secretly" leave 100MB of
*.tar.gz files with no obvious redeeming qualities.  But it seems a
rather delicate matter to know what to delete and what not to, and not
get it wrong.
