Subject:	ftpd problem

I am trying to get inetutils to work with the 1.1.4 release. It's
looking good except for ftpd. When I try to ftp to my NT machine
toralbrecht from the Solaris 2.6 machine copper I get the following:

copper> ftp toralbrecht
Connected to toralbrecht.algorithmics.com.
220- 
220- Wow! I have found the ftp daemon! Let's see...
220- 
220 toralbrecht FTP server (GNU inetutils 1.3.2) ready.
Name (toralbrecht:albrecht): 
331 Password required for albrecht.
Password:
550 Can't set uid.
Login failed.

Telnet with the same user and password works fine. Any ideas?
