When you build cygwin from source (release or snapshot) following instructions, dependencies are no generated (I do not know GNU make good enough; I know that winsup/cygwin/Makefile is supposed to always add dependency generation; it does not, at least when building from top-level). This means, that every time any *.h file is changed I am forced to do make clean. Not really handy. I build cygwin by - untarring in source directory - cygwin-1.1.5-4/et al - creating empty dir /tools/build/cygwin-1.1.5-4; cd thereinto - /tools/src/cygwin-1.1.5-4/configure --prefix=/usr - make -andrej Have a nice DOS! B >> P.S. Full build takes about 45 min. here. Sigh ... -- Want to unsubscribe from this list? Send a message to cygwin-unsubscribe AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com
