Hello,

I am having some trouble building and installing the libncurses library.

I download, unpack, configure, and make the package properly.

However, when I run "make install" or "make install.libs" make gets to 
"ranlib <path_to>/libncurses.a  UNKNOWN FILE FORMAT"  Install error 2

???

Could someone please help me figure out where I am going wrong?
