John, please read the cygwin/xfree main page. It has been recently updated to reflect the support for b20 (none) and where to get binaries. There is a how-to on installation on it's way. For development, you should probably download all the precompiled binaries, including the development tarball, and crack open gdb and see what is causing the seg fault. Also you may need to get the cgywin 1.1.4 source, and build a debug build of cygwin1.dll Rob > -----Original Message----- > From: John Dell [mailto:johnd AT ee DOT uwa DOT edu DOT au] > Sent: Wednesday, 20 September 2000 4:08 PM > To: cygwin AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com > Subject: Pre-compiled X11R6.4 Libraries/Clients and Cygwin1.1.4 > > > > Hello, > > Warning: I am new to cygwin and what I am saying might not > make sense. > > Am I correct is saying that the pre-compiled X11R6.4 > Libraries/Clients > compiled under B20.1 won't work under the latest release of > Cygwin?
