Hi,

this is very odd. =)
It happens in the FULL SCREEN cygwin console under Windows 95.

Do this on your W95 system (don't know if this happens with W98)

- Start Cygwin via Start Menu (make sure you're in  full screen mode)

- Press CTRL-ESC to temporarily get to windows 

- Click on the icon of the pending cygwin application in the taskbar.
Cygwin relaunches.

- Just press [ENTER] a few times:
 The first times you do that, the screen will scroll down properly.
But at the bottom of the window, the bash prompts go "eastwards", i. e.
instead of scrolling down, there's no carriage return sent anymore.
