Subject: 1.1.2: ls doesn't work on some mounted drives

Greetings,

I have encountered a strange problem that does not seem to exist with older
versions of cygnus. We have a network appliance that exports home
directories via NFS (or CIFS?). I have the p: drive mapped to my home
directory on this network appliance. From the bash shell, I can cd into p
(cd //p) and into any subdirectories under p. I can also cat, cp, edit, and
compile files under p. However, I cannot list (ls) or perform any operations
that need to read directories. For example, ls -l returns 'total 0' when I
know files exist in that directory. If I mount a NTFS drive, ls works fine,
of course.

Other people have used older versions cygnus with the network appliance and
it has worked just fine.

Here is my output of the cygcheck command. Any insight would be greatly
appreciated.
