Aww man! I'm very happy to see this. I've always want this capability on a windows/dos pc. Thanks cygwin guys! I guess seeing that familiar DOS window just made me think ok, the is dos, single process command shell interface. so for the guy I was responding to, read up a bit on the basics of unix shell commands and process commands. This may be helpful to you and for the stdin stuff...make sure you're arguments to the program you're running are correct. Try typing the appname with --help argument alone to see some info on the command line args. /dave -----Original Message----- From: Chris Faylor <cgf AT cygnus DOT com> To: cygwin AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com <cygwin AT sourceware DOT cygnus DOT com> Date: Wednesday, July 05, 2000 6:02 PM Subject: Re: Delete a file and start a Windows application >On Wed, Jul 05, 2000 at 06:04:51PM -0700, Dave Arnold wrote: >>DOS doesn't have a way to do this.
