Actually, I'm always willing to be lenient with humor.  I doubt that
you've ever seen me say "This is off topic" to the rare humorous message
that shows up here.

However, since this concerns you, let me apologize for contributing
something off-topic.

Since I still am unconvinced that some proprietary version of tar has
any merit for a cygwin discussion I would like to drop this discussion.
