Subject:	Error during make of rcs 5.7

While trying to compile rcs 5.7 I get the following error during make:

./conf.sh: configuring has_map_fd, has_mmap, has_madvise, mmap_signal
... make[1
]: *** [conf.h] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/sander/rcs-5.7/src'
make: *** [all] Error 2

What could possibly be wron here? System: IBM Aptiva, K6/266, Win98, gcc
2.95.2
