See the attached spec-files for rpm ; I built glib & gtk 1.2.8 without
any trouble with those; Simply execute the commands in the %build
section to build and the use the commands in the %install section to
install;

Hint:

%configure is a macro and expands to :

libtoolize --copy --force

./configure --prefix=/usr i686-pc-cygwin
