I ran into this problem too.

Check to see if you have an old extra copy of cygwin1.dll somewhere on your
path.

Somehow (I have no idea how), when I updated to 1.1.2, I ended up with a
bogus cygwin1.dll in /usr/local/bin. Delete it eliminated the errors.
