Subject: When Setup doesn't work

A good replacement for setup is wget. (I'm
told that one doesn't need this if IE5 is
installed, but it works well at the cost of
some local disk space.)
One can get wget from:
 ftp://ftp.ese-metz.fr/pub/tex/win32-beta/wget.exe

To use it (from a Win95 system: make the
proper adjustments for your own system)
0) enable internet access
1) open a dos window
2) go to the directory to which you intend to
download the compressed files/folders
3) issue the command:
wget -r -c "....."
where ..... represents the URL from
which you are downloading CygWin
4) if you re-issue the command, only the
files not previously downloaded will be
downloaded

5) When the wget is finished, you can then do
a local install (d rather than i) using the
SetUp in the folder newly downloaded to.
