Subject: gcc-2.95.2 make bootstrap fails on cygwin 20.1 (Windows'98)

Hi there,

I canno get gcc-2.95.2 to bootstrap on cygwin 20.1.
Here is what I get:

[main] Q:\CYGNUS\CYGWIN-B20\H-I586-CYGWIN32\BIN\MAKE.EXE 5117 (0)
sync_with_child:
child -432605(0x90) died before initialization with status code
0xFFFFFFFF
[main] MAKE 5117 (0) sync_with_child: *** child state waiting for
longjmp
make[1]: vfork: No more processes
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2
BASH.EXE-2.02$

Trying to resume the compilation process gives me

/cygnus/build/gcc/xgcc -B/cygnus/build/gcc/
-B/usr/local//i586-pc-cygwin32/bin/

What am I missing?
All the best,

      Roberto
