I'm now successfully doing a cvs "get" (thanks, Chris!).

You might want to change the cvs web page
(http://sourceware.cygnus.com/cygwin/cvs.html) to use "checkout" instead of
"get". I unsuccessfully searched several pieces of cvs documentation,
including the usage messages, quick reference, etc, looking for a
description of the "get" command before I found it buried in the man page as
a synonym for "checkout".
