Subject:	make child state fatal error

I have been trying for hours to complete a build of gdb. I am getting
the following error at random points during the build:

[main] C:\CYGNUS\CYGWIN-B20\H-I586-CYGWIN32\BIN\MAKE.EXE 6259 (0)
sync_with_chil

[main] MAKE 6259 (0) sync_with_child: *** child state waiting for
longjmp
make: vfork: No more processes

I see that there is a link on the cygwin page regarding a "Win95
make/fork/fault bugfix" However, the genius that set up that link
neglected to describe any procedure to apply the fix!
