Oops, you're right, I missed it. 

AFAIK this behaviour is ok for an interactive tool when it has to
be sure to write a text to the same place where a user input will
come from. I will take a look into the sources today, just to be
sure. But the fact is, it works on NT and W2K.

Q: Where is the difference to 9X?
