Excellent!
It works with the stock Cygwin 1.0 included bash, GNU bash, version
2.03.0(2)-release (i686-pc-cygwin) too.

guess what hitting ctrl-p on the command-line does. . . i do use bash
2.04b2, so that may make a difference.
