There are vi ports for cygwin, which you must get separately.  Normally, you 
would use the "less" program rather than more.

Any text editor which allows saving files with simple \n line terminations 
(no \r) should be satisfactory.

Mumit Khan http://www.xraylith.wisc.edu/~khan maintains a flock of g77 binary 
versions for cygwin.  It can also be compiled under cygwin, but W9x have some 
peculiarities when pushed this hard.
