>You have no problems because you right click on bz2 file and select >"download" or make shift-left click. Try just left click and save >downloaded >"page" as file :-) The reason may be on the server side. Many HTTP servers default to the plain/text mime type (7-bit) if a suffix is NOT explicitly defined in their configuration files, and "bz2" was not so common in the recent past.
