NutCracker(NC), so does UWIN, lacks the GNU tools support. That means most of the source codes can be compiled with less efforts with Cygwin. Also the X Windows system support is same in NC, you need their X-server to run the applications. You also need to their versions of X11 and MOTIF to port.
