Earnie,

I fail to see how what Pete Jordan suggested is any more (and possibly
no less) confusing than your suggestion.  Whether one or the other 
approach will confuse the user depends on the user's background.  Those
that are used to the mount process on UNIX platforms would probably find
Pete's suggestion more straight-forward.  Personal preferences on mounting
syntax aside, I'd be particularly interested on your impressions of how 
Pete's suggestion would confuse the "cygwin32 the emulation filesystem".
