Remember: There are no "stupid" questions ...

To plug your knowledge leak, do the following :
Go  to a library and look for two books.

The first is of "Kernighan & Ritchie" ... yes, the one with "hello world" in
.... :)
The second is of "Bjarne Stroustrup", "C++"

Both are considered the more or less "official" definitions of the languages.

If you never heard of "K&R" and/or "Stroustrup" before, you should store these
names in your tiny Turing machine emulator between your ears ;)
