Yes, and it has come up quite a few times in the mailing list, esp
dealing with C++ "string" and such.

Please don't use the B19 supplied compiler toolset for C++ -- it's 
too old and too problematic. Replace it with egcs-1.0.2 instead:

EGCS-1.0.2 binary distribution is a drop-in replacement for Cygwin32 b19
supplied development tools (compilers, linker, assembler, etc).
