Perhaps it would help if you provided more details regarding the failures.
I'm using Netscape and MSI under NT 4.0 patch level 3 without any problems
and they are both encountering Java.  There is a known problem with
Netscape and Java in that without a specific Microsoft patch to NT,
Netscape will crash, or at least freeze, when java is started if you are
running 16-bit or greater color.
