To find prototypes:

   cd gnuwin32/b18/H-i386-cygwin32/i386-cygwin32/include
   grep <PROTOTYPE> *.h
   grep <PROTOTYPE> */*.h
   grep <PROTOTYPE> */*/*.h

To find what library has a routine:

   cd gnuwin32/b18/H-i386-cygwin32/i386-cygwin32/lib
   nm --defined-only --demangle --print-file-name * > lib.txt
   grep <ROUTINE> lib.txt
