I've just discovered, and am posting due to discussions a while ago, 
that the find command will find mixed case file names.  To do this, you 
use the -iname switch instead of the -name switch.  Uppercase will be 
sorted first.

Example:

bash$ find . -iname \*xyz

myfilea.xyz
myfileb.XyZ
myfilec.xyZ
....

-        \\||//
---o0O0--Earnie--0O0o----
-earnie_boyd AT hotmail DOT com-
------ooo0O--O0ooo-------
