As far as I know, we (Softway Systems, OpenNT) have already signed over the
rights on the modifications we made. Doing so is clearly part of the deal
for us to use the code in the first place (as is making the modified source
available), and we have no trouble doing it.

All that's needed is for someone to do the update-to-2.8 work. As I
mentioned above, it'll be a while before we get to it.
