It seems to lose the "//" leader on pathnames when using push/pop
combinations (not surprising if the path code wasn't altered to keep
them).

I also seem to get random exits of the shell on occassion when I "cd"...

Why doesn't the hashing mechanism work (what is the requirement for
unhash?)
