This must be one of those FAQ:

Does bash on NT use the .inputrc or $INPUTRC ?

I've tried putting the following lines to my $HOME/.inputrc
----------------------
set bell-style none
set show-all-if-ambiguous on
----------------------

and I've tried setting INPUTRC variable but bash seems
to ignore them.
