If you go to mc.blackdown.com, you'll find that the latest GNU Midnight
Commander release has support for cygwin32. Before that, all the releases
after 4.0 didn't read cygwin32 function keys properly, and there was no
way to use the teaching menu to `learn' keys.

It ought to compile with no problems just by doing `./configure' followed
by `make'. It has its own text editor that can be invoked separately, and
it is one of the few colorized Unix apps that displays almost flawlessly
with cygwin32.
