Another explanation for the slowness some folks are seeing with b18 is that another dll might be trying to load in the same memory space as the cygwin.dll, causing them to get swapped in and out of memory. The default load location appears to be 0x10001000. Some time ago, a few people suggested that this be changed in favor of a more favorable place. What should it be?
