I also have the same problem as Bruce.
/temp> ls -l tab-test
-rw-r--r-- 1 544 everyone 105 Apr 24 10:13 tab-test
/temp> cp -p tab-test tab-test-new
cp: tab-test-new: Invalid argument
Sergey, did you have the problem where cp -p gave a Null timestamp (Dec 31,
1969) to the target file in Beta 17?
(BTW, how did you manage to get real user ID's associated with the files
and not user 500?)
