The exact requirements of each package can be found by using the LIST options in the download area.
The following lists the approximate disk space required for several major configurations, and additional storage required for some optional packages:
Execution-only environment..................330 KBytes Developing C programs.......................8.3 MBytes Developing C++ programs.....................12 MBytes Developing Objective-C programs.............9.6 MBytes Additional storage for gdb..................1.8 MBytes Additional storage for FSDB/LadyBUG.........600 KBytes Additional storage for flex.................340 KBytes Additional storage for bison................400 KBytes Additional storage for diffutils............280 KBytes Additional storage for make.................430 KBytes Additional storage for patch................80 KBytes Additional storage for sed..................57 KBytes Additional storage for Graphics libraries...5.8 MBytesNote that you can save some storage by deleting unnecessary files after installing each package. Files which you generally won't need are in the src/ subdirectories, and the diffs/ subdirectory. For example, a djgpp directory which includes all of the above packages except most of the graphics libraries, takes about 12 MBytes of disk space instead of about 17 MBytes suggested by the above table.
