After those attribute additions, gsymcheck would error on those attributes, so I could not use it as a last check before using the symbol. I was hoping to use gsymcheck in a script to verify all of my custom symbols before packaging them and releasing them for use. When it failed, I attempted to look at modifying gsymcheck to allow adding custom attributes in addition to the "canned" attributes, but I got bogged down in learning the gEDA library and how things worked. It became too much trouble. So I quit that task to just rely on my brain to check symbols from then on. Too bad. It could have been a nice tool. Actually, gaf does some such checking and it seems to accept my custom attributes without complaining - at least in the "export" function I use for printing. I have not tried to use it to check my symbols, however. So much to do, so little time... Girvin
