I really appreciate that. :-) In this case, I had a specific way of solving this issue in mind which would not make the (already kind of confusing) code more complicated, so I patched it myself. But there is another thing where you could help: Would you mind finding out versions of the build dependencies are actually necessary? I don't expect you to hunt down every API change in every tool and library used (that would be a tremendous effort); simply knowing that version X.Y compiles successfully and doesn't show any obvious problems when running would already be very helpful.
