While most probably possible to come by somewhere else I prefer something easy to come by. It rather simple to make a variable voltage regulator from a fixed one: simple resistor divider a little bit low accuracy due to ground current, zener diode with some bias current from regulated voltage on gnd pin or TL431  or with voltage divider. Anyone here have any experience about pitfalls? In particular if there may be instability problems if using TL431 or Zener diode likely to be discovered then a little bit to many have been manufactured? Regards Nicklas Karlsson
