I just wanted to drop a quick email to say that I have tried the windows installer and it installed with no issues on windows 7 (64 bit). I opened gerbv gschem and pcb and everything looked in place -I´m not really a windows user, so I have no projects at hand right now. I placed some components on gschem and made some nets, it looked OK. The main issue I had is that (gschem) double click on an object does not open the usual 'properties' or 'attributes' dialog. Also, right clicking on the main drawing area doesn't open the contextual menu for me (maybe some gtk events need to be explicitely masked in the gtk port for windows?). Also, although not looking very important, there are some warnings on the console window (gschem): > Invalid path [C:\Programas\gEDA\gEDA\share\gEDA\sym\local] passed to component-library > WARNING: The RC file function 'sort-component-library' is deprecated. > RC configuration functions will be removed in an upcoming gEDA release. Please use configuration files instead. > WARNING: The RC file function 'paper-size' is deprecated and does nothing. (note C:\Programas\gEDA is my installation folder) Luis de Arquer On Thu, Jan 24, 2013 at 5:44 PM, Kai-Martin Knaak wrote: > Bob Paddock wrote: > >>> http://bibo.iqo.uni-hannover.de/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=english:geda_for_ms-windows >> >> >> Is it intentional that the .exe posted is from last year, and the one >> in the .zip file is from a few days ago? > > Yes, these are different versions of the installer.
