They didn=92t really teach students to write practical programs in =
Scheme. It=92s weird to me that MIT  folks like Ales and Stuart used =
lots of tail recursion (tricky) and not more straightforward functional =
constructs like map and for-each in their Scheming for gEDA, but I guess =
that=92s how they were taught.
