Identity: the footprint name should be stored in the Description field (as far i remember, gsch2pcb does this), model name should have the same name as footprint (extensions are removed/added) Position: it is stored in the PCB layout Orientation: the rotation is calculated from position of the first pin/pad on component instantiated on board and from position of first pin/pad in footprint file (footprint name should be stored in Description field).
