What is = problems are exists with slots? Why they must be = identical?

Slots allow you to share = the same graphic for identical parts of the chip, that's all. Thus, you = don't need four different symbols for the four gates in a 7400. But you = could represent a 7400 by separate symbols if you wanted: you are never = required to use slots.

If the sections of the = chip aren't identical, you'll generally want to use different graphics = for each section, so slots are not the appropriate = mechanism.
