Hi Gareth, thanks for picking this up.

Beta 1, 2, and 3 are scheduled for decemember 12, january 11 and 
february 12 respectively. Beta3 is too late, only 9 days before release 
freeze - I need some time for local testing and facing potential rpm 
building problems.

The earlier the better to also give users of the pre-release a chance 
for testing. We have now pcb-20100929 and nobody complained so far, but 
would be nice to make users of packaged pcb profit from what has been 
improved.

Once you see how things go ahead for you, it would be kind if you say so 
on this list - that would help setting some time aside for making it 
work in the distro (distros, probably same question elsewhere).
