It's made of copper. Polygons are not made of copper: they are geometric objects. A geometric object might reasonably have the *property* that it's made of copper. Polygons seem to have other magical properties that I don't fully understand, and that are not shared with other copper objects. It is difficult to wrap my mind around all of the distinctions between different sorts of objects and all of the implicit,  magical properties they have.
