Which version of Windows, and how much RAM do you have? I had a box with only 1G of RAM, that IT filled half of with corporate spyware/viruse crap. Scrolling in Opera frequently locked up the machine. Unless it is happening in a non-Windows environment, it is a Windows Resource issue.
