To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Subject: Info for article on djgpp Date: Fri, 18 Dec 92 13:40:57 -0600 From: "Steven K. Graham" I'm working on an article on djgpp for the C User's Journal. I'd appreciate hearing from individuals a number of topics (roughly in order of priority): 1) history/evolution of djgpp and contributions to it - ie, I'd like to give credit where credit is due, so I need to know who has contributed what significant portions to djgpp 2) any "essential" tips, warnings, etc. for new users of djgpp - things that aren't included or explained well in the FAQ, especially things that are fairly easy to stumble over (I've been following this mailing list for the last month or so, so you needn't repeat anything that has turned up here - except maybe to point out that something is a particularly common problem and merits some notice) 3) substantial, "serious" projects implemented in djgpp - What are people actually doing with it? 4) comparisons to other compilers - what advantages/disadvantages are there for djgpp users as opposed to Borland, Microsoft, etc. users? Why use djgpp other than $$$? 5) any other information related to djgpp that someone thinks is valuable enough to bother sending me. I really want the information on item 1 - some people people deserve credit for the work they've done, and I want to do what I can. For the other items, I'll appreciate whatever information I get, and summarize any useful information to the mailing list. Thanks for your responses! And Happy Holidays! steve graham graham AT lks DOT csi DOT com steve AT rdpub DOT com ___________________________________________ steve graham graham AT lks DOT csi DOT com Comdisco Systems, Inc 3813 Stetson Dr. (913) 841-1283 (work) 1310 Wakarusa Dr, Suite A Lawrence, KS 66049 (913) 841-6017 (home) Lawrence, KS 66049
