There was also an inquiry about "make" a few weeks ago, but I did not see any responses. So, if anyone can provide a little summary of the available versions with locations, advantages and disadvantages, and post it to djgpp, I think it would be very useful. I have tried to use the Thorsten Ohl gnuish MS-DOS port, but I have not been able to get an uncorrupted executable, and I don't have the MS-C compiler required to rebuild it. Yes, the executable extracted from the official zoo archive, from wuarchive or iros1, is, as far as I can determine, simply corrupted. Using Turbo Debugger, I find that the first instruction is a call to a location filled with zeros. I am stumped. I have successfully downloaded, un-zooed, and run quite a few programs, but "make" resists all my efforts. And, Turbo-C make, which I have, is too different from other versions to be used easily with gnu stuff, as far as I can see. Eric
