o	Yes, all you'd have is an X server.  Lots of individuals and sites
	would dearly love to have just the server.  Here we have mainframes
	and minis that are busting at the seams with X clients, but equipping
	a thousand PCs with X servers is too costly, given that X is not (yet)
	seen as a critical tool here.  A free server would be just the ticket
	for demonstrating X' value.

o	Last time I looked, Linux was a really good operating system and the X
	port for it was quite usable, but there was *no network code*.  You had
	to be content with clients running on the same box.  Very useful for
	some, useless for others.  And, Linux won't yet run on MCA machines
	(like the PS/2-70 in my office).

o	WATTCP code and packet drivers are out there, but how hard will it be
	to get them to run in protected mode?  Or, what would be the
	performance hit involved in gating back to real-address mode for each
	network interrupt? what would be the risks?  Maybe quite acceptable,
	but these things need to be thought about.
