From: gj9362 AT smaug DOT sbc DOT com (Gregg Jensen) Subject: segmentation violation To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Date: Thu, 16 Jul 92 22:51:25 CDT I have just started using DJ's gcc (2.2.2) and have run into some problems. I have installed the package according to the instructions and have tried to compile a couple of simple hello world programs using C and C++. During the compile with a -v it shows dumps with a: Segmentation violation in pointer 0x00000000 at 40:5ed46 Exception 14 at eip=5ed46 This appears to be happening during cc1/cc1plus phase. I have done the steps manually and confirmed that it is happening here. I was hoping someone has run across this before. My setup is a 386 running DOS 5 with Stacker on the partition that the package and test programs are loaded on. Any help would be appreciated Gregg Jensen (NOTE if replies bounce try sending to gj9362%smaug DOT sbc DOT com AT texbell DOT sbc DOT com)
